| The New England Patriots needed a fourth-quarter comeback to keep their perfect NFL record in tact during a Sunday night game shown on NBC. The last-minute drama kept viewers on the edge of their seat and helped NBC grab the top-rated English-language program viewed by Hispanics, according to figures released by the Nielsen Media Group for the week of Nov. 19-25. The Patriots rallied for a 31-28 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles to push their unbeaten record to 11-0. The game drew a 7.5 rating among Hispanic viewers, surpassing ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" for the top spot in the ratings that monitor Hispanic viewership. ABC's celebrity dance competition and Fox's animated sitcom "The Family Guy" tied for second with 6.2 marks. The CBS network's NFL post-game show on Thanksgiving ranked fourth with a 6.0. The broadcast followed the Dallas Cowboys' 34-3 victory over the New York Jets. An episode of "The Simpsons," Fox's original animated sitcom, rounded out the top five with a 5.9 rating for its 8:30 p.m. showing on Sunday night. It's 8 p.m. broadcast was sixth with a 5.8. Among Spanish-language programs, Univision's nightly telenovela "Destilando Amor" topped all others in the ratings to reclaim its dominance on the chart. Its five-night average rating of 27.1 topped all other programs. The Tuesday night broadcast attracted more than 3.3 million Hispanic households for a 27.5 rating, which was the highest among all other individual Spanish-language broadcasts for the week. It's the second week in a row that "Destilando Amor" has topped the ratings since its 14-week run at No. 1 was disrupted by Univision's broadcast of the Latin Grammys. Cristina Saralegui's weekly talk show "Cristina" claimed second with a 19.3 rating and "Don Francisco Presenta," a weekly Univision variety show, rounded out the top three with a 17.6 mark.. Nielsen's figures, however, have their detractors. One group has started a petition, hoping Nielsen Media Group will change the way it samples the U.S. Hispanic population in its English and Spanish TV ratings. The Help Change TV group, which has a petition at www.HelpChangeTV.com, claims that Nielsen does not include enough U.S.-born Hispanics in its audience sample, leading to the impression that a vast majority of Hispanics watch Spanish-language TV. The following lists are TV ratings based on Hispanic viewership. Nielsen's ratings include viewers who watched the program while it aired and others who viewed the shows via digital video recorder within 24 hours of their airing. The group says that the Hispanic TV audience represents more than 11.63 million television households in the United States.
